Service penetration fire stopping.

Fire stopping is the process of sealing openings and service penetrations in fire-rated elements of construction — walls, floors, ceilings and shafts — to prevent fire and smoke from passing between compartments. Every cable tray, pipe, duct and conduit that crosses a compartment line creates a potential path for fire spread. Left unsealed, or sealed with the wrong product in the wrong way, those penetrations undermine the compartment strategy for the entire building.

Tested systems exist for every substrate and penetration type. The challenge is matching the right system to the right condition — and installing it correctly every time.

Every penetration we seal is logged: product reference, tested detail reference, substrate type, photograph, operative name and date. That schedule is supplied to the main contractor as a completion document and feeds directly into the building's Golden Thread. We carry IFC Certification (KIWA) accreditation Nr 3039 — an independent audit of our installation quality against manufacturer-certified details.
